SK gas was founded in 1985 and currently has the largest market share in the domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market. SK gas supplies eco-friendly LPG as a raw material for fuel and petrochemical processes. The company uses LPG import terminals located in Ulsan and Pyeongtaek as well as a nationwide sales and distribution network. SK gas reinforces stability and profitability by leading the global LPG trading market through a trading strategy that utilizes the company's accumulated trading techniques and network based on domestic LPG import and overseas sales experience.

SK gas is expanding its business areas to ensure that everyone everywhere has access to clean energy provided by LPG. SK gas is innovating to meet changes in the business environment following the expansion of eco-friendly energy policies. By utilizing existing LPG capabilities, SK gas entered the Ulsan propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) businesses to complete the vertical integration of the gas chemical business, while actively promoting entry into the overseas gas chemical business by participating in PDH business with Saudi Arabia.

SK gas is also increasing its portfolio by expanding business areas to liquified natural gas (LNG) and power businesses such as LPG/LNG combined gas power generation.
