The SK On Tennessee facility in Stanton, Tenn., strengthens SK On's U.S. base for advanced battery manufacturing.

STANTON, Tenn., May 21, 2026 – Today SK On Tennessee became the newest U.S. entity of SK On, beginning an innovative and agile new chapter for the facility and community. 

SK On Tennessee will build upon the strong foundation and skilled workforce developed over the past three years while positioning itself to compete more effectively in the rapidly evolving battery energy storage and electric vehicle markets. 

As an independent SK On company, SK On Tennessee will have greater flexibility to make strategic decisions, respond more quickly to market demands, and pursue long-term growth opportunities that support innovation and competitiveness in the U.S. battery industry.

SK On Tennessee will focus on strengthening operations, enhancing systems and processes, continuing workforce development efforts, and preparing for future mass production, which is projected to begin in 2028.
