The alliance is designed to broaden availability of EV fast-chargers, meeting consumer need for more accessible, convenient and reliable charging

Partnership is part of Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s launch of its ‘Konect’ EV charging infrastructure ecosystem to accelerate the transition to electric mobility

SEOUL, South Korea (MAY 14, 2024) – SK Signet Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions, has entered into a strategic alliance with Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR), a worldwide leader in fueling and convenience store equipment and technology.

Through this agreement, SK Signet will capitalize on GVR’s global network of fuel retailers and convenience store partners to supply its EV fast-charging products across core markets in North America, South America and Europe. Targeting gas stations and mid-sized fueling stations, the installation of SK Signet’s EV fast-charging solutions will support the continued transition to clean energy within the transportation sector.

Jung-ho Shin, Chief Executive Officer of SK Signet, said: “The gap in readily available and accessible EV charging infrastructure is a major barrier to the broad adoption of electric vehicles. By working with GVR to build out the EV infrastructure offered at fuel retailers and convenience stores, we will be able to provide current and future EV drivers with more convenient, seamless and reliable fast-charging options.”
