In the U.S. by the end of 2030, SK Group expects its operations and investments to reach $52 billion, a majority supporting sustainable solutions like EV batteries, ultra-fast chargers, or producing zero-emission hydrogen at scale.

These investments support SK Group’s goal to reduce carbon emissions by 200 million tons in 2030. To meet that commitment, SK companies are leaving no stone unturned and embracing breakthrough solutions with the potential to strengthen our environment.

One such innovation, developed by SK company PassKey, leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to efficiently distribute solar and wind-powered electricity.

PassKey does that by connecting Energy Storage Systems (ESS) that can store renewable generated power with Al. The algorithms predict supply and demand to intelligently shuttle electricity where it's needed when it's needed.

At a time when more and more of our electricity comes from wind and solar power – the U.S. projects that renewables will generate more than 44% of the country’s electricity by 2050 – Passkey’s AI innovation helps improve grid reliability. When applied to EVs, it will help ensure driver recharge their cars quickly.
