SK recently concluded its second annual U.S. rewards and recognition program, Partners in Progress, which celebrates the incredible talent across all SK operating companies. Individuals and teams were nominated by their peers and leaders for four award categories: Builder for Tomorrow; Purposeful Partner; Social Value Hero; and a Colleagues’ Choice category, Driving for Better. Today, we’re excited to announce our winners.

Builder for Tomorrow – recognizing an SK colleague that has redefined how we do things and sets the standard for the future of our business
Hailing from AMPAC Fine Chemicals (AFC), Ryan Woods, Manager, R&D Engineering, was selected for playing a key role in defining a new set of processes that gave AFC and SK Pharmteco a critical advantage in their industry - and ultimately led to greater market recognition and increased market capture. Ryan’s knowledge, skill, and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve have contributed to the success of these projects. Furthermore, Ryan is well-respected by his peers and customers alike, and known as a great teammate.
Purposeful Partner – recognizing an SK colleague that has demonstrated exceptional collaboration and partnerships
Shawna Medina, Product Specialist
from SK Siltron CSS, was selected for her work ethic and her exceptional collaboration with both external customers and internal teams to help drive the CSS business. In addition to handling internal sales, Shawna collaborates with production and planning to meet customer schedules and internal sales revenue targets. She is known as the backbone of the commercial team, and her efforts have supported a business that has seen tremendous growth.
Social Value Hero – honoring an SK colleague that delivers social value and creates positive change in our communitie
Katherine Malberg, HR Recruiter for AMPAC Fine Chemicals (AFC), was selected as our Social Value Hero for continuously providing a great onboarding experience to AFC employees and her dedication in planning employee engagement events. Her commitment to social value is apparent in the work she does in her local community. During the holiday season, Katherine locates a charitable cause that the organization can support and can be seen on many days leaving the parking lot with a car load of socks, sweaters, and food for families and kids in need.
Colleagues’ Choice: Driving for Better – honoring an SK colleague that has exhibited extraordinary performance, while helping to strengthen our company culture
Dwayne Armstrong of SK LubricantsAmerica was selected as the Colleagues’ Choice winner for improving many operations functions and handling critical situations with a welcomed calmness. Dwayne’s management style enables his team members to work independently, elevating everyone’s sense of ownership and responsibility for the company’s success. He exhibits the personality and leadership traits that any company would want – proactive, authentic, and approachable.
