LAS VEGAS – At CES 2023 this week, SK hosted a food truck for visitors that offered sustainable food including Korean-style shaved ice dessert, Bingsu – made with animal-free milk from the California-based Perfect Day. The food, located outside the exhibit hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, also included dairy-free cream cheese from Nature’s Fynd.
SK’s food truck provided visitors to CES 2023 a sustainable food version of Bingsu, a Korean shaved ice cream dessert, using animal-free protein from Perfect Day.
SK Inc., the investment arm of South Korea’s second-largest conglomerate, has invested in Perfect Day and Nature’s Fynd, both U.S.-based companies, as it grows its global portfolio of sustainable food investments. Additionally, SK Inc. has also invested in Wildtype to support its commercialization of its cell-cultivated salmon and Meatless Farm, a Dutch-based sustainable food company.
SK’s sustainable food truck aligns with SK’s broader theme of the main exhibit hall – “Together in Action: Moving Toward a Carbon-free Future Together.” SK’s CES 2023 booth featured more than 40 carbon-cutting technologies from batteries for electric vehicles to energy-saving semiconductors.
SK’s food truck at CES 2023 served up sustainable food using products from Nature’s Fynd and Perfect Day, two of SK’s U.S. investments.
The technologies provide tangible action behind SK’s commitment to
cut 200 million tons of carbon emissions in 2030. CES 2023, the world’s
largest tech event, is being held January 5 – 8 in Las Vegas.
