Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies
The Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), a nonprofit foundation supporting education and research, celebrates its 40th anniversary. It was established by Chey Jong-hyon, former chairman of SK Group, at a time when Korea’s per capita income was lower than $500. KFAS is built upon the late chairman Chey’s beliefs that “a nation’s future depends on the development of world-class scholars.”
