Completion of New Corporate Identities (CIs): SK telecom and SK holdings
In January 1998, all of SK Group's subsidiaries decide upon new Corporate Identities (CIs). This includes the introductions of SK holdings (formerly the Korea Oil Corporation) and SK telecom (formerly the Korea Mobile Telecommunications Service).
This change in CI marks an important step forward for SK telecom following their successful commercialization of the CDMA. This is commemorated at the company's New CI Declaration Ceremony.
